Built in 1771 by a sea captain, occupied for 50 years by Nantucket’s leading female poet, and recently restored, the Cliff Lodge combines the charm and romance of a bygone era with all the comforts of home. Featuring comfortable gathering areas, fireplaces, luxurious rooms, a peaceful garden patio, and a spacious roof walk offering panoramic views of the town and the harbor, the Cliff Lodge was recently selected by Cape Cod Travel Guide as 2005 Reader’s Choice of Inns in Nantucket, by Bed and Breakfast.com as Inn of the Month for the months of October and December, 2005, and February, 2006. We serve a lovely continental breakfast with homemade pastries, as well as homemade treats daily, and feature regularly scheduled afternoon teas. In Nantucket’s historic district, the inn is just a short walk from the shops, beaches and restaurants in town. 12 rooms with private baths, tv, A/C, free wi-fi.
