The Ships Inn represents a unique piece of Nantucket history while providing the comfort and convenience essential to our guests. The combination of a historic Inn and an acclaimed restaurant and bar lend to a memorable Nantucket experience. Once a famous whaling captain’s mansion, the house has been lovingly restored unveiling a freshness which maintains the integrity and charm of it’s history. Just steps from Main Street with a diverse selection of shops, restaurants and attractions, the Inn is nestled in a quiet historic neighborhood.
There are eleven guest rooms with private bath and two single rooms that share a bath. The sleeping accommodations vary from room to room so your needs are sure to be met. All of the rooms have air conditioning, television, refrigerator, iron and board and hair dryer. Each morning our guests enjoy a delicious breakfast in our light and airy dining room. Afternoon refreshments and cookies are served in our spacious parlor. The Dory Boat Bar is a popular gathering spot to meet friends and enjoy a signature cocktail or a brew from Nantucket's own Cisco Brewery. The acclaimed on-premise restaurant offers memorable dinners nightly for an intimate dinner for two or larger dinner parties.
